how fast is the load that comes out of your 17 caliber rifle, and what have you kiled with it?
i just got a savage arms 17 caliber rifle which shoots hornady rounds at almost 2400 fps. i love it!
Savage is a great shooting rifle, i have 3 (don’t ask why). They will kill just about anything you shoot at because they are accurate enough for perfect shot placement. Believe it or not I know someone who was trying to get rid of coyotes on their ranch at night and accidentally shot one of their small cows (bigger than a calf but not fully grown). With that said i am a firm believer that is unethical to shoot any thing larger that a varmint with it. Yes I have heard many stories of folks shooting deer with them but that is not the hunter I want to be associated with.
