Just painted my room (from light beige to yellow) and wanted to see how much it would cost:

The room is 12′3 by 12′4. I used 2 cans of white paint for the ceiling (which was formerly gray/white/brown/beige/disgusting), and two cans of yellow paint (custom mixed) for the walls. I have one can of white paint left over.

Charge him what you paid. Give him the receipts and he WILL use it as a tax deduction for repairs. Remember he didn’t pay for your labor and saved him the time-money and trouble by you doing it. Don’t feel bad. He is greatful you did it so let him pay for the materials.
