Youth Bows – The Various Accessories Available For Your Genesis Bows

There is a whole range of accessories available along with your genesis bows. It is always a good idea to purchase accessories by the same manufacturer as it ensures better shots and good compatibility between parts.

Arrows:
The arrows available for genesis bows can be manufactured either from graphite composite material, wood, fiberglass or even aluminum. Typically, wooden arrows are no longer preferred these days as they are not that strong and do not deliver consistent performance compared to the other three materials. There are four major parts encompassed in an arrow. These are the shaft, head, fletchings and nock. The shaft of the arrow is the central stick like portion of the arrow in the genesis bows and other parts like the head, nock and fletchings are attached to this. While purchasing the arrows for your genesis bows it is crucial that you measure their length. You also need to check the relative stiffness of the arrows to ensure that they are appropriate for the draw length and draw weight of your bow. Make sure you follow recommendations made by the manufacturer of the genesis bows. Also, if the arrows happen to have cracks, dents or bends on them they are most likely defective. If there are damaged vanes, loose points or broken nocks, then it means the arrows are defective and you should not buy these! Typical genesis bows arrows come in the aluminum variety and have a 1820 or a 2016 designation on them. These can be 31 or 30 inches in lengths.

Bow sights:
The typical bow sights of genesis bows employ pins made of fiber optic materials. These help gather light easily. However, these can also impact sight placement and methods of lining up sight to target or even the way of gripping the bowstring – all are factors which can impact the shot performance too. If you are just starting out with archery then you really do not require a bow sight at the moment.

Arrow rests:
These accessories are already available as part of the genesis bows kit. These are flipper type rests, which are easily compatible with existing genesis bows. However, the Pro collection of genesis bows do not have these rests as part of the kit. In such cases, the rests need to be bought separately.
Stabilizers:
The stabilizers of the genesis bows help archers to balance bows on the hand. Thus, the stabilizers are responsible for ensuring accurate shots. These are available in the market in different shapes and sizes and are manufactured from diverse materials too.

Targets:
These accessories too are manufactured from a wide range of materials and come in myriad sizes and shapes. These targets of the genesis bows can either be made from cardboard boxes or straw bales or anything else. However, these are conventional methods and modern targets are far more sophisticated. These are made with foam materials and come in fancy animal shapes like deer etc. There are also various 3 dimensional targets which professional archers use with their genesis bows to prepare themselves for a hunt.

Replacement Fiber Optic sights??

I bought a Fuse three pin fiberoptic sight for my bow last year. 2 of the fiber optics came out. Is there replacement parts for them or do I have to buy the entire sight again?

I dont know about your sight but I had a Trophy Ridge that same thing happend to. I called them up and they had me send it in and they fixed it. I also had them send some replacements with the sight when they sent it back. I needed backups for elk hunting. They are easy to replace… all you need to do is insert them into the hole or tube on you sight and cut them off with anything hot. I used a hot screwdriver but a knife would work too. Call em up and see what they say.
