History and Use of Army Clothing
Different forms of army clothing helped in identifying each other by seeing their comrades in brightly colored coats and trousers of matching colors. This is especially the case for the 18th century and early 20th century army clothing where mostly battled it out using bright color uniforms thus providing a unity among their troops and making a general impression to the general public.
Another more obvious reason for their army clothing is to use their uniforms to their advantage. As different countries also have their own army clothing, An opponent identifying a stronger combatant may let the weaker more or just to simply surrender. Identifying the military uniforms would allow them to assess the conditions and make decisions on the battle field. A strong army that is competent in the battle field may bring fear just by seeing their uniform and may lead to hesitation by opponents.
With the beginning of the 19th century and the improvement of firepower began, range of tactical battles soon began to emerge. As it was common for each fighting unit to battle each other out in a face-to face combat where the soldiers who are in the first line mostly dread of their death. At which different tactical maneuvers will be done by each group until it becomes a free for all killing spree. And this was also common during the early 19th century.
However, because of the development in technology, face-to-face battle became obsolete. Countries soon started realizing that literally putting their soldiers in harm’s way is not the way to go thus tactical clothing soon emerged. This new army clothing mostly will protect the wearer from possible harm and hide them from their opponent. Unlike the 19th century colors for uniforms, which were bright red or blue, to easily tell their opponent who they are, the clothing style of army clothing is to not let their opponents see them that will lead to their safety and tactical advantage.
Different experiment flourished for the development of camouflage clothing and the result of this is the widespread and use of it. Camouflage meaning to disguise is very common in the natural world of animals insects, plants and in water. This is now also used in the world of military and now three different types of camouflage clothing. The first one is the cryptic resemblance, which allows the clothing to blend with its environment by having a resemblance and similarity with the color of surrounding. The second type is disruptive coloration, which helps in disguising the outline of a person by using irregular patches of contrasting colors.
The third camouflage clothing is what you call a Ghillie suit. The name came from a Scottish anti poaching warden whose name was Ghillies. The clothing material is made to completely hide the wearer by using a very ragged full body covering with strands and projections of the camouflage material. Different types of army clothing have emerged nowadays such as blotchy, striped, spotted, barred and different combinations of patterns and styles.

What gear does the USMC approve of?
Just curious as to know what gear such as hats.. t shirts etc etc that themarines themself endorse? or do they not? i understand the marine corp is a not a f-a-g-g-i-t- farm aka a mall or one of these fancy homo crap cans… but there must be something out there…. i aint buying no “rothco” goods, that shit is evil…..and i aint ever buying that, so……is there an actual place on the net to buy gear endorsed by the us military? MADE IN THE USA ONLY.
THEMSELVES*
WAVY GRAVY —- NA, MORE LIKE YOUR ASS LOOKS LIKE 20 POUNDS OF CHEW BUBBLE GUM…YA KNOW SOMETHIN’….. BUG OFF.
I DONT LIKEHOMO S-H-I-T AND ALL THAT STUFF IS HOMO. PERIOD.
IT APPEARS ANY WHERE IT IS CALLED ARMY NAVY STORE… GALAXY, MYSTIC AND A HOST OF OTHER NAMES AND THEN THE TWO WORDS ARMY NAVY, ALL SEEMS TO BE ROTHCO….. THIS IS TWISTED.
As far as I know, the Marines don’t “endorse” anything. So no, there is no “gear” they “approve of”. They have their own gear.
wtf was the question again?
