What is a good scope for a Remington 700 sps tactical?
well im a bit new to the gun world and i was thinking about buying a remington 700 sps tactical, but i don’t know what would be a good scope to get for it. i don’t really know anything about the specs on scopes but i do know that im looking for one for shooting long range. if anyone has any information on scope specs, or what type of scope i should get that would be very helpful.
I have the Rem 700 SPS varmint (.308, 26″ barrel) with a Bushnell 6-24×42 mil dot scope. I wouldn’t feel comfortable shooting out past 400-500 yards with this setup, but it performs very well with my hand loads.
I would recommend going to a sporting goods store/gun shop with a decent scope selection and see what you like, then buy the scope from www.opticsplanet.com.
